EVENT CO ORDINATOR

We are seeking to engage an Event Co ordinator to assist the Event Manager to deliver successful events at St Kilda’s iconic Palais Theatre.

Australia’s largest seated theatre, the Palais Theatre started operation in 1927 as a silent picture palace before becoming a live theatre venue during the early 1950’s.

A unique and exciting opportunity is available for a motivated and talented individual to join our team. We are seeking to find an Event Co ordinator who enjoys delivering events, strives to provide clients and customers with a positive experience and be able to deliver outstanding results in the following key areas;

  • Customer & Client Experience
  • Ticketing
  • Event Delivery
  • Risk, Emergency & OHS Management
  • Casual Staff Management
  • Food, Beverage & Merchandise Operation
  • Pre & Post Event Documentation

This position will suit a person who enjoys the many varied tasks that come with working as part of a small team.  We are looking for someone who is eager and willing to assist in all aspects of venue and event management and wants to learn and develop their skills. There is a large focus on ticketing, so ticketing experience is a must.  A full time role, the successful candidate will need to have the flexibility be available to work at the Palais Theatre’s events which are predominantly evenings and weekends, including public holidays. 

The role is for an initial 5 month contract, with the potential to extend.
