It is with great sadness that we announce the postponement of our Imperial Russian Ballet Company 2020 tour of The Nutcracker & Don Quixote to 2021. Due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, it has become clear that it will be impossible to bring our dancers through the Australian and New Zealand borders in 2020. Thank you for your patience and we hope to see you again in 2021 for The Nutcracker & Don Quixote.
The Nutcracker & Don Quixote on Saturday 24 October 2020 has been rescheduled and will now be taking place on Friday 24 September 2021.
Your tickets will be valid for this new date. You don’t need to do anything, just hold on to your tickets.
If you can’t make it to the new date, please submit a request. Refund requests must be submitted prior to 5pm, Friday 14 August 2020.
Please note that if you do not request a refund by this date, we will take it that you can make the rescheduled show and a refund will no longer be available as a result of rescheduling the event. If you request a refund after this date, you will not be entitled to a refund as it will be considered a “change of mind”.
Please be advised, only the credit card holder who purchased the ticket(s) can seek a refund via the method outlined above. If you received your ticket(s) any other way, including via "Ticket Forward", you will need to contact the original ticket buyer for your refund.

Two sensational ballets, one magnificent night of ballet.
ACT 1 - The Nutcracker
The ageless tale of bravery and dreams set to the music genius of Tchaikovsky's musical, this ballet features one of the most recognisable and enduring music scores ever written. Set at Christmas time, a young girl dreams of her Nutcracker prince and their adventures together.
ACT 2 - Don Quixote
A ballet based on the Spanish novel by Miguel De S… and is considered the most influential work of literature from the Spanish golden age. This festive and flamboyant ballet was first performed in Moscow’s Bolshoi Theatre in 1869.
The Imperial Russian Ballet Company was formed in 1994 by the Bolshoi Theatre soloist, Gediminas Taranda. The Imperial Russian Ballet Company comprises 40 dancers from the major ballet schools of Russia.
