EVENT INFORMATION

“The Art of the Teese” will showcase an evening of glamour and seduction as only the Queen of Burlesque can.

The Art of the Teese tour brings a number of brand new acts never before seen in Australia including “Lazy”, an act only ever performed at The Crazy Horse Paris (including new costumes from British designer Jenny Packham) and an all-new ballet-themed act “Swan Lake Stripteese”.  It also features four of Von Teese’s most exhilarating performances, including a brand-new version of her iconic “Martini Glass” routine which features a beautiful new baroque style gilded champagne glass, crystallized from top to bottom with over 150,000 Swarovski crystals. Each show throughout the tour will showcase the stunning visuals of the exclusive acts that have made Von Teese the consummate performer in modern burlesque, captivating the imagination and transporting audiences worldwide.

I am thrilled to return to Australia with my newest burlesque show The Art of the Teese! With all new acts, and this time in seated theatres, I'm looking forward to making our return engagement unforgettable. I love coming to Australia, and I can’t wait for fans to see this new show, with more glitz and glamour than ever!” -  Dita Von Teese.

I’ve been adding new elements to the show, and this time it’s an opulent new version of my champagne glass act. I worked with my best friend and long-time collaborator Catherine D’Lish to create a decadent and distinctively designed champagne coupe of gilded gold, crystallized with astonishing amounts of pavé Swarovski crystal. I feel very inspired in this moment in time when burlesque is truly being recognized, and I’m pleased to bring together this show-stopping cast for an unforgettable night.”

The “Burlesque Superheroine” (Vanity Fair) will be joined on stage by an eclectic supporting cast of today’s brightest stars of Burlesque, with burlesque fan favourite Dirty Martini tassel twirling while riding Dita’s famous Swarovski Crystallised Carousel Horse and burlesque star Ginger Valentine performing with one of Dita’s most beloved signature acts, “My Heart Belongs to Daddy”, which features Dita’s signature giant red filigree heart prop. Jett Adore brings the house down with his Zorro act that Dita calls “...the best boylesque act ever created”, and Australian Zelia Rose captivates the audience with her modern Josephine Baker tribute. Dita’s Vontourage appears throughout the 2-hour show with numbers that showcase their magnificent dance talent. The evening is hosted by comedian and singer Jonny McGovern, creator of the popular YouTube channel “Hey Qween!”

“Here is a burlesque artist with twinkle, refinement and horn out the wazoo, though her performance goes way beyond mere gimmickry. Each dance becomes an eccentric, erotic fantasia, confected with lavish sensuality and elaborate attention to detail.” – The Age, Melbourne

“Dita is absolutely mesmerizing. She elevates the art of tease with an effortless grace and ease that is thoroughly intoxicating, and the elegance and beauty of her movements will truly take your breath away! It is delicious, powerful and provocative!”
-Demi Moore

“Dita is the true definition of glamour”

“Dita exudes timeless grace. She is our generation’s Betty Page, but on a much different level. She was born to entertain. Love that girl!”
-Aaron Paul

“Dita’s show is timeless, with a powerful delivery that explores the sensuality of human spirit. With jaw dropping costumes, a thunderous crescendo of music and superb production design, Dita brings burlesque to a whole new level. The show is dazzling sexy. A must see!”
-Debi Mazar
